Last remains of the ice-age covered our way today. Very impressive. But not as impressive as just a few years ago. On all the postcards, the glacier was still connected to the lake. Melting goes fast up here. Even though it would have been ecologically very incorrect we wished we could have flown over the glacier. The view from the top must be breathtaking. So we drove on (also ecologically incorrect). We reached a high mountain valley, with enough snow to go snowboarding. Just before the descend to Geiranger, there was an old airplane next to the road with a beautiful story related to it. At the end of the day, we reached the well known town of Geiranger and found a campsite just next to a waterfall. Loud but beautiful.
