Hello everyone! Welcome on our brand new travel blog. For the next three months we will travel through scandinavia. We are looking forward to nature, Adventures interesting people and maybe some small jobs. We want to start on friday so we are in the middle of preparations. Preparing the car

Tomorrow we want to start our trip, so today there are lots of things to prepare. The bed is ready now and all the stuff we want to take along the trip lies on several piles in the kitchen. But for now: second part of germany vs. portugal. See you..

11.06. first night camping

Tonight we tested the tent. Great fun. Throwing it and “Plop” it is ready. It is a little more complicated to put it back together. We slept at Kalles parents place next to a small creek, very romantic. The new family-dog is keeping Danny busy.

12.06. Cologne, Bonn

The last two days we stayed in Bonn and visited Cologne. What an impressive beautiful city. The cathedral is amazing. The view from atop the cathedral as well. And the Kölsch was very tasty.

13.06. Museum Insel Hombroich

Next stop: Museum Insel Hombroich.

It is a combination of a giant wild garden, beautiful bungalows and an amazing art collection. We enjoyed that meditative park a lot and spent the whole afternoon here. In the evening: Germany wins his match and the fireflies welcomed us at our sleeping place. First night in the car.

14.06. Neuss and Münsterland

After our first night in the car, we visit the Langen Foundation and the surrounding former rocket station that is now some kind of open art laboratory. Strange but beautiful area… And no people around. Then we move on and lose ourselves in the beautiful area called “Münsterland”. So many castles… At the last one (looks kind of spooky) we decide to spend the night and do some projections.

15.06. Osnabrück and arrival at Hamburg

Waking up in front of the castle.. Nice! As it started raining we spent half the day at a thermal Spa in Osnabrück. That was also our chance to shower Afterwards, still raining, we headed to Hamburg where we visited Christian Schleisiek. We studied together and we joined his amazing huge and friendly shared house. So the next few days: Hamburg.

Hi friends We already left Hamburg and are on our way to the east sea. Even though we haven’t visited many tourist attractions and didn’t take a lot of pictures it was an impressive time in this great city. here you see the few images we took on our first day on the long walk along the elbe river:

Before we left hamburg i visited the spice museum. If you want to see how NOT to do a great exhibition about a beautiful subject I can recommend it to you. We headed towards the east sea, looking for nature and calm. And we found it. Sourrounded by many birds and just next to the beach we built up our tent. And on this occasion we found our mattresses that went missing and the reason why the tent didn’t fit in its bag no more.

Wismar

Next Stop: Wismar. What a picturesque small town by the sea. Surprisingly they have a small university that teaches light design. And even more surprisingly we met one of the professors while projecting in the harbor at night.
Also we spent our first night couch-surfing. Thanks to Korbinian! He was a wonderful host.

21.06. Wismar to just behind Wismar

Auch das wunderschönste Wismar hat irgendwann ein Ende und so sind wir weiter gen Osten gefahren. Der grobe Plan: Irgendwann bald mit der Fähre von Rügen nach Schweden fahren. Aber Eile mit Weile. Der Entschluss ist gereift Mittsommernacht nicht in Schweden zu feiern und das nimmt uns eine Menge Stress. Also fahren wir durch die Landschaft und genießen ebenjene. Am Nachmittag haben wir einen kleinen Parkplatz direkt am Strand gefunden. Etwas nordwestlich von Kägsdorf. Dort verbringen wir den Nachmittag. Abends fahren wir ins nächste Dorf und Danny zaubert was leckeres zu essen. Danach versuchen wir verzweifelt irgendeine Möglichkeit zu finden das Deutschlandspiel zu schauen. Aber das Deutschlandspiel ist erst einen Tag später. Also wieder zurück auf den Parkplatz, noch eine Partie Karten spielen und ab in die Heia.
